It was a long day at work today. Not because it was really all that busy, but because the stupid people are coming out again! It must be the warm weather. I get SO tired of the dumb questions people ask me. Like "Where do you get the water?" Ummm out of the nozzle that is CLEARLY marked, in bold letters, "Water." One lady today almost made me DIE laughing. Before I go into details let me clarify that yes, I am a bus person and I know most people typically think a bus person's job is the clean up after the customers. But I work in the food court at the casino. It's like a fast food restaurant. We don't have waitresses, you wait in line to order, and there are big trash cans on each side of the door when you walk out. OK, anyways, this woman and the man she was with finished eating and stood up to leave, also leaving all of their garbage all over the table. Some people will neatly pick up all of their napkins, etc and put them in the basket and then leave it on the table. Not these people. They left their little half full ketchup containers, wadded greasy napkins and straw wrappers all over the table. They get to the door when suddenly the woman stops, turns around, walks back to the table and stands in front of it for a second. She looks around, sees my coworker and I standing there, picks up ONE piece of trash, turns, throws it in the garbage and walks out. REALLY? Do you want me to applaud you for picking up ONE piece of trash while leaving the rest of your table worse than my 3 year old leaves his table after dinner? Now, if they would have the decency to leave a tip, I may not be so appalled. If you expect me to clean up after you, how do you think it is OK to not leave a tip?

Then there's the bingo hall. I hate bingo. People come into our restaurant, order food, and want us to deliver it to the bingo hall on the other side of the casino. And the casino is big. And we agree to it. Today, these people order a pizza and cheese sticks and want it delivered in bingo. They ordered 5 minutes before the doors to the bingo room opened. The doors open over an hour before the game actually began. But they just HAD to hurry up and get down there and couldn't wait for their pizza to cook. So we delivered it. I put plates, napkins, sauce for the cheese sticks and even utensils in case they were some of those weird people that eat pizza with a fork, and trucked through the crowds with this large bag to the complete other side of the casino in hopes of a nice tip (I don't get many of those since we don't have waitresses and we don't always clean up after people. And if I don't do anything for them I don't expect a tip) only to get there, set the bag on the table and have them never even look at me. They barely mumbled a "thanks." Do people have no manners anymore?

OK so now I have to do homework so I have to cut my rant short. I'm working on this take home exam for my ethics class and it has me really frustrated. I'm opinionated, and very liberal on most issues, just because I am. Not because of some theory some man made hundreds of years ago that I can't even figure out what the hell he is talking about. And I don't wanna have to use those theories to back up my opinions. I just wanna say them.

Good night for now.
